Crisis of the Week: Johnson Controls CEO’s Affair

Johnson issued a statement saying Chief Executive Alex Molinaroli will stay in his job and has the full support of the board. Mr. Molinaroli sent an email to company employees acknowledging the affair, and told them the matter was “closed” and they should focus their “energy and attention on our future.” How effective were these statements in resolving the issue?
