Somerset CPAs is assisting Ventura Orthopedics, a large orthopedic practice in Ventura California in searching for a health care executive to serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong operational background and proven leadership abilities.
Our client is a 13 physician sub-specialized orthopedic group with four office locations in Ventura County, California. The practice has a good market position and is looking at growth in the number of physicians and other providers. In addition to the full complement of sub-specialty orthopedic services, the practice provides pain management, physical therapy, MRI and X-Rays imaging, and orthotics. The practice is the team physician for area college and high school athletic teams.
Assisting the physician owners with governance of the practice enterprise
Overseeing physicians growth and management of this growth
Evaluating and managing the management team
Ensuring sound operational performance, strategic planning and guiding the practice through the ever changing health care environment
Assisting with hospital and payer relationships and working on a daily basis with the management team.
Leading and directing the staff, including the Clinic’s administrative team in management of all the business, human resources, clinical, financial, strategic, compliance, and regulatory aspects of the practice.
A track record of successfully managing a large and complex health care entity is essential, as is possession of the leadership skills to guide and motivate members of the staff.
An advanced degree in health care administration, business or financial operations is desirable.
Prior medical group practice experience and orthopedic group practice management experience is important, but other relevant experience will be considered.
