To mister malaprop vice president JOE BIDEN, not for the common vulgarism caught by an open mike in congratulating President Obama on the passage of his health care bill into law – “this is a big f______deal!” – but for the partisan triumphalism it was clearly meant to convey. He could have said something like, “this is a great day for the country.” Instead, we get thuggish self-congratulation.
To Google co-founder SERGEY BRIN, for leading the Internet giant to abandon its China-based search engine due to that country’s effort to censor theWeb and suppress dissidents because it echoed the “totalitarianism” of the Soviet Union, where he was born.
