U.S. GDP Is Up 3.9% for the Quarter, Compared to China’s 8.2%

The Economist magazine’s economic indicators chart shows slow but steady growth in the U.S., while China is having a banner quarter.

The latest GDP numbers show an increase of 3.9% for the quarter, compared to China’s increase of 8.2% vs. a year ago. Industrial production is up 5%, while consumer prices are up 2.1%. The unemployment rate for July was 6.2%.
