State Profile

Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad kicked off the state’s “Year of Manufacturing,” with the goal to increase Iowa’s manufacturing GDP from $29B to $32B by 2022. The initiative, led by the Iowa Economic Development Authority, Iowa State University’s Center for Industrial Research and Service and the Iowa Association of Business and Industry will focus on building a skilled workforce, promoting innovation and research and development, and improving global competitiveness.
