About the Patriots in Business Award

The Patriots in Business Award recognizes outstanding businesses who lead our nation in supporting active duty military members, veterans and their families.  The recipients of this award exemplify the values of Duty, Honor and Country, through their programs and initiatives not only for hiring those who have served but also honoring veterans and their families within their organization, through their business practices, and throughout their community and industry.

The sponsors for the Patriots in Business Award are Chief Executive Group and Thayer Leader Development Group at West Point. The Award was created by Chief Executive Group and TLDG to thank and recognize outstanding corporations who, by their example, inspire other companies to invest in our military, veterans and their families.

The Patriots in Business Award will be awarded in each of the following categories, which are based on annual revenue:

  • Large Enterprises = over $1B annual revenue
  • Medium-Sized Businesses = $10M-$1B annual revenue
  • Small Businesses = Under $10M annual revenue

The top qualifying entries in each category will be declared Gold Award winners.

Submitting Entries

Any for-profit company headquartered in the United States can be nominated.

Entries may be self-nominated or submitted on behalf of corporations by those who work with them or by outside vendors and service providers.

Yes. The organizers ensure that only authorized judges will review entries, and that information about nominees is not released to anyone without prior approval.

All entries will be evaluated by a panel of distinguished veterans and corporate leaders.  A list of the judges will be announced.

Awards

Yes. Gold Award winners will receive an award, public recognition and the privilege to display the Patriots in Business Award logo digitally and in print.

The winners for our 2018 awards will be notified on September 4, 2018

The winners will be announced at the CEO Talent Summit at West Point on October 2, 2018.  The award announcement will be published in the November/December 2018 issue of Chief Executive magazine.

Select C-level representatives from the winning corporations will be invited to the awards ceremony.

Gold Award winners will receive an award, public recognition and the privilege to display the Patriots in Business Award logo digitally and in print. Gold Award winners can expect to receive a complimentary invitation for their CEO, plus publicity and recognition at the 2018 CEO Talent Summitco-hosted by Chief Executive and TLDG October 1-3, 2018, as well as digital and print recognition through Chief Executive magazine and TLDG resources. All award recipients will be profiled in the November/December 2018 issue of Chief Executive magazine.  Finally, you’ll have access to the judges’ comments about your entries and your business, which may be invaluable testimonials to your success and can be used for promotional purposes.
