Driving Inclusive Innovation and Strategic Growth

Maryland is growing its reputation as a hub for innovation and inclusive economic growth. Between 2024 and 2025, the state allocated more than $129 million to community revitalization. At the start of 2025, the Capital of Quantum initiative was announced to catalyze more than $1 billion in investments and cement the state as a global leader in quantum information science and technology. In September 2025, Microsoft announced it will open a quantum research center at the University of Maryland’s Discovery District.

“Maryland is making big bets on the future to grow our economy and drive innovation... together, we will continue to make Maryland the best place in the world to change the world.”
