Over the last 5 years, Oregon has dropped 15 spots on the Best/Worst States for Business list. Here’s a slideshow of the other states who have been steadily in decline.
In Chief Executive’s eighth annual survey of CEO opinion of Best and Worst States in which to do business, Texas easily clinched the No. 1 rank, the eighth successive time it has done so. California earns the dubious honor of being ranked dead last for the eighth consecutive year.
Here’s a look at the best states in which to do business in 2012 and what CEOs had to say about them.
Texas is booming these days, thanks to the presence of the University of Texas, major technology companies, such as Dell and Samsung Electronics, a lively entertainment and gaming scene, art exhibits, food trailers, and clubs and bars aplenty.
The Badger State keeps rising in the Chief Executive Best States/Worst States list, and that’s got Wisconsin businesses cheering—as well as investing.
