Caterpillar emphasizes and supports its team through its Leadership and Technical Development Program (LTDP). The LTDP, “is all about grooming the next generation of industry leaders and technical experts. The purpose of Caterpillar’s LTDP is to harness your ability and energy, and groom you through onboarding, challenging rotational assignments, technical training, and other development opportunities so that you may not only fulfill your personal career and development ambition, but provide excellent service to Caterpillar and especially, Caterpillar customers.”

The program is supposed to train employees on leadership and team skills as well as develop technical competence. The LTDP aims to allow internal networking and foster lasting relationships between its employees.

The LTDP includes programs on:

  • Manufacturing Engineering
  • Metallurgical Engineering
  • Welding Engineering
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Environment, Industrial Health and Safety
