The CEO Confidence Index, Chief Executive‘s monthly gauge of CEOs’ expectations for business conditions over the next 12 months, grew 0.33% in August, landing at 6.44 out of a possible 10.
A new poll of more than 150 U.S. CEOs shows a growing number of companies abandoning hybrid and remote work despite benefits to employees, as collaboration, culture and innovation challenges persist.
CEOs are encouraged by the recovering market and easing inflation but remain concerned about a possible Fed-led recession. Just like last month.
CEO confidence in business conditions 12 months from now remained flat in October, registering a 5.90 on a scale of 1 to 10, compared with the same rating for September.
All year, there have been media reports of a flat or sluggish economy, so it’s no wonder CEOs’ confidence in future business conditions is still relatively weak compared with the start of the year.
The CEO Confidence Index, Chief Executive‘s monthly gauge of CEOs’ expectations for business conditions over the next 12 months, shrank 1.3% in October, landing at 6.36 out of a possible 10.
CEOs’ faith in future business conditions (12 months from now) continues to drop. Respondents to Chief Executive’s November 2015 survey showed a reduction in CEO confidence, down 2.7% from October—and down 9.7% the beginning of the year.
